It has been a while since we have updated because there was an unexpected turn of events. Nicole's dad was hospitalized with a very serious illness and we flew back to NYC to be at his side. We spent most of last week in the hospital but I had to return on Thursday to move the boat off the dock we left it on in Savannah. Nicole stayed behind in New York to be with her dad and help with his care. Right now it looks like she won't be back until after New Years, so for now I am on my own.

Over the weekend there was horrible weather here. Temperatures were in the high 30's (that means temperatures in the boat were in the high 30's) with rain and high seas. Thankfully, I am able to pirate electricity from the city of Savannah, and a small electric heater has kept the boat nice and warm. Yesterday and today I finished putting in a pad eye for my jack lines and wiring in a GPS at the helm. I had been putting off these projects, but they will make it much safer for me to single hand.

Tomorrow I am planning to start motoring down the ICW with the SPOT on.
